Step 1 - Sign up/Login and copy your code
First, if you haven’t added your website, go to the top right corner on the Equally AI homepage and create an account. If you’ve already registered your website, then login in to your account.
Once you add a website, you’ll get a unique Javascript code. Make sure to save this for later. For existing users, simply copy your code in the “Widget Installation” section on the your dashboard.
Step 2 - Open your site’s HTML files
Locate your site’s file storage and access the root folder. Open the HTML files and start with files such as index.html, services.html, or about-us.html using a basic text editor like Notepad ++.
Make sure to insert the code into each individual HTML file so the widget works everywhere on your site. Simply click on an HTML file’s icon or name in the root folder to open it.
Step 3 - Embed your code
In the HTML file, find the <head> tag and paste your code as its first entry. To do this, place your cursor next to the <head> tag and click on Enter once.
Use the keyboard shortcut Control + V or Command + V to paste the code. You can also use the Paste option in the Edit menu on the top menu.
Step 4 - Save your file
After pasting your code in the <head> tag, save your file by pressing Control + S or Command + S. Or, go to File at the top menu and click Save.
Step 5 - Apply steps to all HTML files
Repeat these steps for every HTML file on your site. Then, preview your website to ensure Then, look at your site to make sure the widget is working correctly.
Step 6 - Upload your site to activate the widget
Finally, upload your site to your server via the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to activate the widget.
That’s it! You have successfully integrated Equally AI. It is now working to make your site accessible.
